We all need to understand that the only way to experience Spiritual Power, Direction, and Purpose is to have a Meaningful time with God daily. The number one priority in the life of a true Responsible Citizen should be having a meaningful time with God each and everyday. If nothing else gets done in your day, this must get done. 1 John 5:14-15: Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. Key Guidelines for having this Meaningful Time with God: 1. A Special Time (Mark 1:35). 2. Sufficient Time (Mark 14:37, Matthew 7:7 and Luke 18:1). 3. A Special Place: Places are important to God. All through Scripture, we read various accounts of God’s activity, and often the place of the activity receives special attention. If you are going to have a meaningful time with God every day, then set aside a special place to meet with Him. This special place needs to be somewhere you enjoy. It needs to be somewhere private—the fewer interruptions you have, the easier it is for you to have a meaningful time with God. 4. A Special Plan: If you do not have a plan to meet with God and pray, then you probably will not do either one. If you are going to have a meaningful time with God daily, you need to develop a game plan. Every day is game day for the Christian. There are no off days or off seasons. In order to be ready for your game day every day, you need to follow a plan when you meet with God. 5. A Special Book (Romans 10:17). 6. A Special Spirit (Psalm 51:16-17,Isaiah 57:15, Isaiah 57:15, 1 Peter 5:5 and James 4:6) 7. A Special Hunger for God (Matthew 5:6), an John 7:37).
